The  District Treasury, Jharsuguda is functioning in its own building w.e.f . 1.6.1994 after being up-graded from Sub -Treasury to District Treasury.

7. Business conducted at the  -  All Govt. Revenue and receipts including deposits under Treasury P.L. Accounts, Civil & Criminal Court deposits and Revenue  and Security Deposits etc. All Govt.  payments relating to Jharsuguda district.  Payment of all kinds  of    pension authorised for payment at  Dist. Treasury, Jharsuguda as per the programme fixed by the Collector.  Sale of Stamps.

9.Basic and important work-              Keeping of Govt. Accounts of Jharsuguda District of the Treasury.  (including the Sub-Treasury) and submission of monthly  Accounts to A.G., Orissa, & D.T& I(O) and  Finance Department, Orissa, Bhubaneswar. Sale of stamps and keeping of stamp accounts and  keeping of valuables in the Strong Room of the Treasury. The Strong Room opens on Tuesday and Friday for sale of  stamps. The Strong Room is provided with sufficient Police protection by the Supt. of Police, Jharsuguda.
