INCOME TAX
The
income tax office is located at Sarbahal Road, Jharsuguda. The office has got two
wards.
STRUCTURE
The
Department is functioning under Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, Range1, Sambalpur/Chief
Commissioner of Income Tax, Orissa region under Central Board of Direct Taxes, Department
of Revenue Ministry of Finance, New Delhi.
FUNCTION
Enforcing
implementation of various rules and provisions under Direct Taxes Acts i.e. Income Tax
Act,1961,Wealth Tax Act,1957 etc.
JURISDICTION
Revenue
District of Jharsuguda, Sadar Sub-Division in the revenue district of Sundergarh excluding
Rajganagpur and Kansbahal Police Station, Kuchinda Sub-Division and Bamra. (for both
Wards).
